Biography
Alexander Shenderyuk-Zhidkov is a Russian politician and business executive who is representing the Kaliningrad region in the Federation Council, Russia’s upper house of parliament. He also serves as First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on the Budget and Financial Markets.
Born in Kaliningrad in 1982, he graduated with honors in finance and credit from Kaliningrad State University in 2004. In the same year, he completed a program in European Business and Law at Aarhus University’s business school in Denmark.
Before entering national politics, he held senior positions at the agribusiness group Sodrugestvo and served as a deputy prime minister of the Kaliningrad regional government. His background therefore combines corporate management, regional economic administration, academic activity, and federal legislative work.
