Biography

Dr. Pascal Lottaz is a Swiss political scientist, international relations scholar, and Associate Professor at Kyoto University. He is widely recognized for his work on neutrality studies, diplomatic history, European politics, and the changing structures of international order. Lottaz received his MA and PhD from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, or GRIPS, in Japan, and previously researched and taught at Waseda University and Temple University Japan Campus.

He is the founder and director of Neutrality Studies, an international research network and media platform devoted to the study of neutrality, multipolarity, and alternatives to bloc politics. Through his academic publications, public commentary, and YouTube-based interviews, Lottaz has become a distinctive voice in global debates on neutrality, sovereignty, peace, and the future of world politics.
